The Heart Finds Home 🏡

The heart is at the very centre of our relationship with Allah SWT.

But heartwork is not something we only do when we sit down to study, our everyday lives are constantly giving us opportunities to work on the heart:

❤️‍🩹 In the way we respond when our children test our patience.

❤️‍🩹 In what we do when something doesn't go according to plan.

❤️‍🩹 In the things we hope for, fear, hold onto and struggle to let go of.

❤️‍🩹 In how we respond to blessings, disappointment, uncertainty and the people around us.

These ordinary moments can become places of tazkiyah — opportunities to notice what is happening within us, turn it back towards Allah SWT, and practice a different way of being.

The work of the heart is not about reaching a place where we no longer struggle, it's knowing what to do when we struggle.

Join Ustazah Zahra and I for an 8-week, reflective and practical learning journey starting Saturday, November 7th at 8.30am!

Each week, Ustazah Zahra will guide us through one of eight qualities of the heart — grounding our understanding in the Quran and Sunnah and helping us recognise what it can look like in real life.

Then, we slow down and reflect on what we've learned.

Because knowing what sabr is and practising sabr when your child is melting down,

knowing shukr and remembering Allah SWT when something you've prayed for doesn't happen,

knowing tawbah and recognising the moment your heart needs to turn back,
are two different things.

The learning gives us knowledge. Our lives give us the opportunities to transform insight into action.

For these 8 weeks, do the heartwork with the companionship of Ustazah Zahra and I, as well as other sisters who are also trying to tend to what lies within, and slowly turn the heart back towards the One it was created for.

Join us live over zoom on Saturdays, 8.30am - 10.00am where you have the chance to ask questions and reflect together, or watch the recordings at your own time (lesson only, Q&A and reflections not recorded)

What to expect 💻

Week 1 · Tawbah (November 7th)

Learning to turn back to Allah SWT — not only after major mistakes, but throughout the ordinary moments when we notice our hearts have wandered.

Week 2 · Raja’ (November 14th)

Cultivating hope in Allah SWT, especially when life feels uncertain, difficult or far from what we had hoped for.

Week 3 · Khauf (November 21st)

Understanding a healthy fear of Allah SWT that brings awareness and keeps the heart from becoming heedless — without losing hope in His mercy.

Week 4 · Shukr (November 28th)

Learning to recognise and respond to His blessings, including the blessings we can so easily overlook in everyday life.

(Break in December before returning in 2027)

Week 5 · Sabr (January 2nd)

Practicing patience when we are tested, delayed, disappointed, tired or asked to keep going when things are not easy.

Week 6 · Ridha (January 9th)

Exploring contentment with Allah's decree and learning what it means to meet what He has written for us with a heart that trusts Him.

Week 7 · Zuhud (January 16th)

Learning to loosen our attachment to the Dunya — not by leaving the world, but by changing the place it occupies in our hearts.

Week 8 · Wara’ (January 23rd)

Developing greater consciousness and restraint in the choices we make, including the things that may appear small but shape the state of our hearts.

Join us to end 2026 differently, start 2027 intentionally and enter Ramadhan in February with a heart ready to welcome His outpouring blessings, biiznillah.

"This is what my soul needed all along.

To sit amongst people who are like me, struggling, unlearning and rebuilding, constantly trying to become better and live more intentionally. No rush, no distractions, just presence. Left Dunya Detox feeling lighter, softer and deeply recharged."

- Hanisah
